frequently asked
questions
Q: How do I get started
with TempForce?
The fastest way to apply with TempForce
is to review our openings in the hot jobs
section of our site, and email your resume to contact person listed
for your position(s) of interest. If your desired position is not
listed, you
may email your resume to
opportunities@tempforce.com for general consideration.
A TempForce team member will review
your qualifications, and contact you to set an application
appointment if your background and qualifications are a good match for our
openings.
Q: How long does it take to
receive
an employment offer from you?
A: That depends on your
flexibility. The more flexible you are regarding pay rate, job type,
and location, the easier it is for us to find you employment quickly-
and keep you busy! We have a pre-screening process which must be
completed first, including skills assessment, personal interview,
and references, which may take several days to complete.
Q: What types
of positions do you staff?
A: We focus primarily on office
support positions, ranging from general clerical to executive
support and project work. Our opportunities fall mainly within
administrative support, call center/customer service, human
resources, and mortgage/financial fields.
Q: Where are your positions
located?
A:
Our office
is located in Edina, MN. Most of the opportunities we offer are
located in the south and southwest suburbs of Minneapolis, downtown
Minneapolis, and St. Paul.
Q: What
types of companies do
you work with?
A:
We work with many different
companies. More than 90% of businesses utilize some type of temporary staffing
help, so our clients come from a wide variety of industries.
Q: How much will I make with
your company?
A: Our positions vary
in pay,
depending on employee qualifications and the specific opportunity available.
Currently, the starting pay for most of our opportunities is
between $11 - $16 per hour.
Q: Do you
offer permanent placement?
A: Many (almost
60%!) of our
positions have the opportunity for permanent placement. Even if you are not on a "temp-to-hire"
assignment, you are inside the company, making contacts, and
learning about how they do things! This gives you a huge advantage
when an opening arises, for which you may apply.
In addition, we
have a direct-hire division which focuses on high-end permanent
placement opportunities. For more information, please visit
http://www.hrprincipals.com.
Q: How long does it take to
fill out an application?
A: You should plan for
approximately 1.5 to 2 hours in our office. We take the time to do a thorough skills
analysis and assessment, personal interview, and work history
profile, to ensure that we present opportunities that best meet your
qualifications, interests and employment goals.
Q: What if I'm only looking for part time or short-term work?
A: The nature of temporary work
makes it easy to fit most schedules. Tell us when you
are available, and we will discuss any potential assignments we
have that fit your availability. We do ask that you are
available for a minimum of 60 days of placement when you register with us.
